Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' compensation, pension, and education claims with precision and empathy
- Conduct comprehensive interviews to gather evidence and develop claim documentation
- Provide expert guidance on VA benefits, regulations, and appeal processes
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal teams to resolve complex cases
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Train and mentor junior representatives on best practices and procedures
- Represent the VA in community outreach events to educate veterans and their families
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and background investigation clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in claims processing or customer service
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Knowledge of federal regulations (38 CFR) and veterans' benefits programs
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
