Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' claims for disability compensation, pension, education benefits, and healthcare services
- Conduct thorough interviews with veterans, family members, and representatives to gather critical documentation
- Analyze complex medical records and service history to determine eligibility for federal benefits
- Provide expert guidance on VA regulations, procedures, and benefit entitlements
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal experts to resolve complex benefit cases
- Participate in continuous training to stay current on VA policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social work, business administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, case management, or benefits administration
- Expertise in interpreting complex regulations and making sound decisions under pressure
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and empathy
