Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability compensation claims according to federal regulations
- Conduct interviews with veterans and dependents to gather accurate benefit information

- Prepare detailed documentation and maintain electronic case records in VA systems
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal teams to support claim development
- Respond to inquiries from veterans, families, and congressional offices
- Participate in outreach events to educate veterans about available benefits
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience with conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate clearly in writing
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (may require travel to regional offices)
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or relevant military/veterans' advocacy experience
- Background investigation and security clearance required
- Must pass VA competency assessment
