Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate VA disability compensation claims within strict federal timelines
- Conduct comprehensive interviews with veterans and their families to gather critical documentation
- Utilize VA systems (VBMS, VBA) to manage claim workflows and maintain accurate records
- Provide clear explanations of complex VA regulations and benefit entitlements
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal advisors to resolve complex cases
- Maintain strict compliance with federal privacy regulations (HIPAA, Privacy Act)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years of claims processing or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Experience working with veterans or military families preferred
