Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' benefits claims with 99% accuracy
- Provide expert guidance on VA healthcare, education, and disability benefits
- Conduct telehealth consultations via secure VA systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve complex veteran cases
- Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations and HIPAA standards
- Document all interactions in VA's electronic health records system
- Participate in weekend shift rotations (6 AM - 6 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field
- 2+ years of customer service experience in government or healthcare
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems (e.g., CPRS, VistA)
- VA benefits certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
