Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations and citizen inquiries during weekend shifts
- Process critical permits, licenses, and public records requests
- Coordinate inter-departmental communications and document routing
- Maintain accurate databases and filing systems for weekend transactions
- Support emergency response protocols and crisis management coordination
- Train and supervise weekend support staff and volunteers
- Prepare weekend activity reports for senior leadership review
- Ensure compliance with county policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of administrative experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and record-keeping systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Experience with public-facing customer service protocols
- Knowledge of California public records laws and regulations
- Flexibility to work compressed weekend schedule (Thu-Sun or Fri-Mon)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
