Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct security patrols and headcounts to maintain institutional control
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Escort inmates within facilities and to court appearances
- Operate security systems including control panels and surveillance equipment
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during weekend operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be 21+ years old and possess valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Completion of state-mandated correctional officer training
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
