Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to maintain security
- Conduct routine inspections and headcounts to ensure compliance
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and maintain accurate daily logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during transports
- Provide crisis intervention and support services to inmates
- Participate in mandatory training programs and drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Experience in security or law enforcement preferred
- Ability to work weekends and holidays consistently
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
