Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security checks and respond to emergency incidents
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during weekend transfers
- Implement rehabilitation programs during weekend hours
- Ensure compliance with state and federal correctional standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New York State Peace Officer certification
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work rotating weekend schedule (Fri-Sun)
- Pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
