Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and ensure facility security protocols are followed
- Conduct regular headcounts and perimeter checks
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate daily logs
- Screen visitors and control access points
- Transport inmates to court and medical facilities
- Enforce institutional rules and maintain order
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Physical fitness to meet law enforcement standards
- US citizenship and Ohio residency required
