Responsibilities
- Manage citizen inquiries via phone, email, and in-person during weekend hours
- Process permit applications and public records requests
- Coordinate weekend facility access and maintenance requests
- Update and maintain departmental databases with accurate information
- Assist with document scanning, filing, and record-keeping
- Support weekend voting operations during election periods
- Collaborate with weekday staff for seamless service continuity
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- 1+ years customer service or administrative experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Clear background check and fingerprinting required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in English (Spanish bilingual a plus)
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to lift 20 lbs occasionally
