Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain IT systems, network infrastructure, and hardware during weekend shifts.
- Perform routine data backups, security patching, and system diagnostics to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of weekly operational reports and system logs.
- Ensure strict compliance with state cybersecurity protocols, HIPAA regulations, and data privacy laws.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to resolve escalated technical issues and implement improvements.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments during weekend maintenance windows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotational basis.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required for state government employment.
