Responsibilities
- Patrol designated park areas to enforce safety regulations and visitor compliance
- Provide visitor assistance, interpretive education, and emergency response support
- Monitor park facilities, natural resources, and wildlife habitats
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Lead guided nature walks and environmental education programs
- Collaborate with law enforcement during incident investigations
- Maintain accurate records of visitor interactions and park incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years outdoor recreation experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) plus holidays
- Strong communication skills and public interaction abilities
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Physical stamina to traverse rugged terrain and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and park ecosystems preferred
