Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to dispatch appropriate responders
- Maintain accurate records of all calls and actions taken
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers in crisis situations
- Coordinate resources during major incidents and special events
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time tracking of emergency vehicles
- Adhere to strict protocols for sensitive information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
