Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch police, fire, and medical units during weekend shifts
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communication equipment
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and submit detailed reports
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via phone when needed
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm activations
- Participate in continuous training for emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year dispatch or customer service experience
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and multitasking software
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
