Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response for police, fire, and medical incidents
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems with precision
- Provide clear communication to first responders during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and compliance records
- Collaborate with weekend shift teams for seamless operations
- Participate in continuous training for emergency protocols
- Ensure compliance with California Public Records Act requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- 1+ years dispatch or public safety communication experience
- Valid California Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6am-6pm)
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in CAD systems and multi-line telephony
- Clear criminal record per government standards
