Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city areas during weekend shifts to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and citizen incidents with professional crisis management
- Enforce city ordinances, state laws, and traffic regulations with impartial authority
- Document detailed incident reports using digital systems and maintain accurate case records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations and emergency responses
- Provide visible security presence at public events, parks, and recreational facilities
- Conduct preliminary investigations and gather evidence for further review by supervising officers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Saturdays/Sundays) and holidays as required
- Basic knowledge of public safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in digital reporting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
