Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure municipal facilities during weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday)
- Enforce city ordinances and safety protocols at parks, libraries, and community centers
- Respond to citizen inquiries and provide critical information about city services
- Document incidents and submit detailed reports using digital systems
- Collaborate with emergency services during weekend public events
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Assist with crowd control during weekend festivals and gatherings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedule including holidays
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Previous security or public service experience preferred
- Must pass background check and drug screening
