Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor municipal facilities during weekend shifts to ensure safety and security protocols
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, incidents, and public inquiries with appropriate escalation
- Conduct access control and visitor screening at government buildings
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical situations
- Enforce city ordinances and safety regulations within assigned areas
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain certifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree in Criminal Justice preferred
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) and holidays
- Proficient in incident reporting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Clear background check and drug screening required
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate conflicts
