Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with appropriate protocols
- Document daily operations and incident reports accurately
- Assist in inmate rehabilitation programs and counseling sessions
- Maintain communication with shift supervisors and law enforcement partners
- Ensure compliance with state and federal correctional standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Basic knowledge of correctional procedures and security protocols
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun)
- CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
