Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security inspections of living quarters and common areas
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Assist in inmate movement and transportation as needed
- Collaborate with shift supervisors and healthcare staff
- Participate in ongoing training programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for report writing
- Ability to work weekends and holidays consistently
- Physical fitness to handle emergency situations
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Previous security/corrections experience a plus
