Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones during weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday) to deter crime and ensure public safety
- Respond to emergency calls, conduct traffic stops, and enforce local/state laws with professionalism
- Collaborate with weekend-specific community outreach programs to build neighborhood trust
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate digital records of weekend activities
- Participate in specialized weekend operations including event security and festival patrols
- Maintain constant communication with dispatch and weekend shift supervisors
- Conduct preliminary investigations and secure crime scenes during weekend off-hours
Qualifications
- North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) certification or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to operate emergency vehicles
- Minimum 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to work independently during low-supervision weekend shifts
- Pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in digital reporting systems and mobile data terminals
