In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence for federal agencies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, generate reports, and support decision-making processes that impact the community.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources to ensure high-quality input for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical analyses and modeling to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities within federal datasets.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop compelling dashboards, charts, and reports using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to present findings to stakeholders clearly.
- Documentation: Write comprehensive technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process manuals to maintain transparency and compliance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex data findings into plain language for non-technical program managers and decision-makers.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to federal regulations and internal security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS. Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
- Certifications: PMP, CAPM, or relevant data analytics certifications are a plus.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal background investigation (Secret or Top Secret clearance).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
