Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure
- Operate hand/power tools, machinery, and heavy equipment safely
- Assist with road repairs, landscaping, and park maintenance projects
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs
- Support emergency response during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience in construction or maintenance preferred but not required
