Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop technology roadmaps aligning product development with future market demands
- Conduct scenario planning for regulatory shifts and ethical implications of emerging tech
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype future-focused solutions
- Present strategic insights to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Author thought leadership publications on technology futures
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record forecasting tech trends (demonstrated via publications or patents)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, or synthetic biology
- Experience with scenario planning and technology roadmapping methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published work in technology foresight or innovation strategy
