Responsibilities
- Manage Network Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the County’s complex network architecture, including hardware and software components.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor rigorous network security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of major IT upgrades and system migrations.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity for government operations.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology vendors to secure optimal solutions for the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, networking, or a related technical role.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in network architecture, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), cybersecurity best practices, and ITIL frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven government environment with shifting priorities.
