Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation through closure, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, government agencies, and technical teams, translating complex requirements into actionable plans.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to federal, state, and local government regulations, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and ITIL standards.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize team performance by effectively allocating personnel, budget, and technology resources across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine project management methodologies to enhance efficiency and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field required.
- Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT project management, specifically within the government or defense contracting sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies, along with proficiency in MS Project or Jira.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical audiences.
