Responsibilities
- Manage departmental calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Prepare, edit, and distribute official correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems for department records
- Process travel reimbursements, purchase orders, and vendor invoices
- Act as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with onboarding new employees and training programs
- Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative support experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of Texas state government procedures a plus
- Valid Texas driver's license required
