Responsibilities
- Manage and organize complex filing systems, ensuring documents are easily accessible and archived correctly.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate digital records using Microsoft Office Suite and specialized database software.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Greet visitors and provide exceptional customer service, answering questions regarding government services and procedures.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute internal memos, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist in scheduling meetings and managing calendars for department supervisors.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and inter-departmental deliveries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a government or office setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation may be required.
