Responsibilities
- Manage veteran case files and documentation ensuring strict compliance with federal regulations
- Process benefit applications and correspondence with attention to detail and accuracy
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve veteran inquiries
- Maintain electronic records using VA-approved systems (e.g., VISTA, VBMS)
- Assist with scheduling, data entry, and clerical support for the regional office
- Prepare reports and summaries for leadership review using established templates
- Support outreach initiatives for veteran services and program awareness
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (per federal employment guidelines)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Minimum 1 year administrative or customer service experience
- Ability to pass federal background check and credit check
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with data management systems preferred
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Knowledge of VA programs or federal processes a plus
