Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a safe and timely manner.
- Sort and bundle mail for delivery, ensuring accuracy and adherence to delivery standards.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, resolving inquiries and handling complaints effectively.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices to track packages and maintain delivery records.
- Maintain the exterior appearance of the mail vehicle and the cleanliness of the mail satchel.
- Follow all postal safety regulations and procedures to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- May be required to perform clerical duties such as holding mail for customers or processing returned mail.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident alien.
- Must possess a valid State Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
- Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for communication with customers and supervisors.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check.
- Must be available for work in all weather conditions.
