Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a timely and accurate manner.
- Sort and organize mail before delivery using proper postage and procedures.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers while answering questions or resolving complaints.
- Ensure the safe operation of the vehicle and adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and the immediate work area.
- Follow all USPS security and privacy protocols to protect sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screening.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and varying physical environments.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to read and interpret maps and delivery schedules.
