Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an established route with accuracy and timeliness.
- Sort and process incoming mail efficiently to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer inquiries and handle any delivery issues.
- Operate delivery vehicles and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all postal safety regulations and secure handling of Registered and Certified mail.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and maneuvering packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Complete all required paperwork and digital logs accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
- A valid driver’s license is typically required for City Carrier Associate positions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Excellent physical stamina, including the ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to customer service excellence.
