As a City Carrier Associate, you will be the face of the USPS, ensuring that every letter and package reaches its destination safely and on time. We value reliability, integrity, and community service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Transport and deliver mail and packages to customers along an assigned route on foot or using a vehicle.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with the public, answering questions and resolving service issues.
- Mail Processing: Sort and organize incoming mail efficiently to ensure accuracy before delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and cleaning of the assigned vehicle.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all postal safety regulations, including wearing proper uniform and safety gear.
- Physical Duties: Lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 pounds and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen or have lawful right to work in the U.S.
- License: Valid driver's license (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy packages and stand/walk for long durations.
- Background: No disqualifying criminal convictions (as determined by a background check).
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
