Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and legislative actions with meticulous accuracy
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Board of Supervisors including meeting coordination and minute preparation
- Oversee public records requests, ensuring timely responses while maintaining legal compliance
- Administer city elections and voter registration programs with integrity and transparency
- Lead the city's records management system, implementing digital preservation strategies
- Serve as the official custodian of the city seal and authenticate official documents
- Develop public outreach initiatives to enhance civic engagement and accessibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector experience
- Expertise in records management systems and California public records laws
- Proven ability to manage complex administrative operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated public speaking experience
- Advanced proficiency in digital document management and municipal software
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel citywide
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (CMC) or similar credential preferred
