Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance, preservation, and accessibility of all official city records and documents
- Manage municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Prepare and maintain City Council agendas, minutes, and legislative documentation
- Administer oaths of office and public record requests per state statutes
- Coordinate legislative tracking and ordinance codification
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Provide administrative support to City Council and boards/commissions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or records management experience
- Knowledge of Texas Election Code, Open Records Act, and municipal governance
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in records management systems and document preservation
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal software
