Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, ordinances, and council proceedings with meticulous accuracy
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Prepare and maintain city council agendas, minutes, and official documentation
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate city clerk department operations and supervise staff
- Provide legislative support to city council and executive leadership
- Ensure proper record retention and archival procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government experience with records management
- Proficiency in municipal software (e.g., Municode, Legistar)
- Expert knowledge of Texas open records laws and election procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Experience supervising administrative staff
- Notary Public certification preferred
