Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, and meeting documentation with meticulous accuracy
- Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and supporting materials for City Council and Board meetings
- Administer oaths, affirmations, and public notary services for official city documents
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration processes, and election law compliance
- Serve as custodian of the official city seal and manage document authentication procedures
- Coordinate public record requests while ensuring compliance with FOIA and privacy regulations
- Implement and maintain record management systems for long-term preservation and accessibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal government or public sector administration
- Proficiency in municipal record management systems and document automation software
- Deep knowledge of North Carolina municipal statutes and election regulations
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and document integrity
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for public-facing interactions
