Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and resolutions with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee municipal elections, including voter registration, ballot preparation, and compliance with election laws
- Administer city council meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and public records requests
- Serve as the official custodian of city seals and documents, ensuring legal authenticity
- Coordinate public records requests while maintaining compliance with Colorado Open Records Act
- Manage business licensing and permit issuance processes for Denver enterprises
- Lead civic engagement initiatives to enhance public participation in municipal processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Colorado election laws and municipal recordkeeping regulations
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, M-Files)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated public speaking ability
- Professional certification as Municipal Clerk (CMC) or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience managing sensitive public information and confidential data
- Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate complex civic processes
