Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Manage municipal election processes including candidate filings and voter education
- Administer oaths of office and notary services for city officials
- Coordinate public records requests in compliance with California Public Records Act
- Provide legislative support to City Council including agenda preparation and documentation
- Maintain city charter and municipal code with regular updates
- Lead records management and digital archiving initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government experience with records management
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in California election law and public records compliance
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and document automation
- Exceptional written communication and public speaking skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
