Responsibilities
- Manage, preserve, and provide access to municipal records, ordinances, and official documents
- Coordinate city council meetings, agendas, and minute-taking with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes in compliance with state regulations
- Serve as the official custodian of city records and administer public information requests
- Lead records management systems and implement digital archiving solutions
- Advise city officials on parliamentary procedure and legislative compliance
- Manage city clerk department operations and supervise administrative staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Oregon public records laws and municipal governance
- Proficiency in records management software and digital document systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
- Experience coordinating public meetings and elections
