Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute official meeting agendas, ordinances, and minutes for the City Council and various boards.
- Manage and maintain the City's official records, archives, and document management systems.
- Handle public inquiries, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and correspondence with professionalism.
- Coordinate community events, public hearings, and civic engagement initiatives.
- Perform administrative support functions, including data entry, filing, and verifying compliance with city codes.
- Ensure accurate dissemination of information to the media and the public.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, clerical, or government settings.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and record management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Proven experience in meeting preparation and minute-taking.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
