Responsibilities
- Maintain and archive official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Administer public records requests in compliance with Texas Public Information Act
- Coordinate city council agendas, packets, and election logistics
- Oversee municipal records management systems and retention policies
- Provide notary services and certification of official documents
- Support public hearings and community engagement initiatives
- Manage voter registration and election coordination duties
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in records management or municipal governance
- Texas Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Deep knowledge of Texas open records laws and election procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
