Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official municipal records, documents, and archives with precision
- Oversee all aspects of municipal elections including voter registration, ballot preparation, and compliance
- Serve as official custodian of City Council records, including meeting minutes and legislative actions
- Administer oaths, affirmations, and public record requests per Colorado open records laws
- Coordinate publication of legal notices and ordinances in compliance with state statutes
- Lead records retention programs and implement digital transformation of document systems
- Advise city departments on records management best practices and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Expert knowledge of Colorado election laws (Title 1, CRS) and municipal record-keeping regulations
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality protocols
- Strong written communication abilities for drafting resolutions and procedural documents
- Valid Colorado driver's license and ability to work occasional evening/weekend hours
