Responsibilities
- Maintain and secure official city records, ordinances, and minutes with impeccable documentation standards
- Process public records requests efficiently while ensuring compliance with Oklahoma Open Records Act
- Provide administrative support to the City Council, including agenda preparation and meeting coordination
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes with precision
- Manage business licensing and permit documentation systems
- Coordinate with city departments to ensure regulatory compliance and record-keeping best practices
- Serve as the primary liaison between citizens and municipal governance channels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or public records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Oklahoma state statutes regarding records retention and public access
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation strongly preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
