Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate and document Sacramento City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with California Public Records Act
- Manage municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Lead records management systems and implement digital archiving solutions
- Serve as filing officer for official city documents and contracts
- Provide administrative support to city boards and commissions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal records management experience
- California Municipal Clerk certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Expertise in public records compliance and election administration
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
