Responsibilities
- Safeguard and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Manage public records requests with efficiency and compliance
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate City Council meetings and legislative documentation
- Administer oaths of office and notary services
- Implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
- Act as primary liaison between citizens and government officials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of municipal records management or government experience
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Deep knowledge of Kentucky open records laws and Sunshine Act
- Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented capabilities
- Strong communication skills for public interactions
- Notary public certification preferred
