Responsibilities
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration programs
- Maintain official city records, ordinances, and minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open meeting laws
- Oversee city clerk functions including business licensing and public notary services
- Coordinate with city council, mayor's office, and department heads on legislative processes
- Develop and implement record management systems for long-term preservation
- Lead public outreach initiatives for civic engagement and transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or public records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) or Municipal Clerk Institute (MCI) preferred
- Expert knowledge of Arizona election laws and public record statutes
- Advanced proficiency with record management software and document imaging
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and public presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience overseeing election processes and voter education programs
