Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records including ordinances, resolutions, and council minutes
- Coordinate and prepare agendas, packets, and documentation for city council and committee meetings
- Manage public records requests ensuring compliance with Georgia Open Records Act
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Supervise records management systems and document retention policies
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Provide administrative support to city council members and department heads
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government experience with records management focus
- Expert knowledge of Georgia open records laws and Sunshine Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Proven ability to manage complex administrative processes with zero tolerance for error
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Georgia Notary Public certification preferred
