Responsibilities
- Oversee all city elections, including voter registration, ballot preparation, and polling site coordination
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Provide legislative support to City Council, including agenda preparation and public notice compliance
- Administer municipal records management system ensuring compliance with state retention laws
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens, government bodies, and media inquiries
- Lead city records digitization and preservation initiatives
- Coordinate public records requests under Colorado Open Records Act
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or election administration experience
- Colorado Municipal Clerk certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Expertise in Colorado election law and municipal records management protocols
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional communication skills for public presentations and stakeholder engagement
- Proven project management experience for complex civic initiatives
